Hindus taken hostage in large numbers in Sindh

Islamabad: A 150-year-old Hindu temple has been demolished in the thick of night in Karachi amid reports of Pakistani woman Seema Haider coming to India. Apart from this, another temple in Sindh province has been attacked with a rocket launcher. Not only this, about 30 Hindus have also been taken hostage in Sindh. Seema Haider is also a resident of Karachi, the capital of Sindh province.

She came to India with her four children from Pakistan in love with an Indian youth named Sachin. He infiltrated into India from Pakistan first through United Arab Emirates and later through Nepal. After his arrival in India, Pakistani Hindus were also threatened by fundamentalists to face the consequences. The fundamentalists had said that Hindu temples in Pakistan would be attacked if Seema Haider was not returned to India. In such a situation, the connection of the incident of demolition of Mari Mata temple in Soldier Bazar area of ​​Karachi is also being linked with Seema Haider's infiltration into India.

Pakistani bandits threatening after Seema Haider's arrival in India have fired rockets at another Hindu temple. Dawn reported that a gang of dacoits attacked a place of worship of Hindu community members in Sindh's Kashmore with rocket launchers in the early hours of Sunday. The attackers also attacked a temple under Gauspur police station and nearby Hindu houses. They tried to spread panic in the Hindu community by firing indiscriminately. The matter was so big that a police team led by Kashmore-Kandhakot SSP Irfan Sammo had to reach the spot.

The police officer said the dacoits fired rocket launchers at the place of worship, which was closed during the attack. He said that this temple was managed by the Bagdi community. The suspects fled the scene after the attack. Police is conducting a search operation in the area. SSP Sammo feared that eight to nine gunmen were involved in the attack. Whom they were tracking in the river areas. Meanwhile, Dr. Suresh, a member of the Bagri community, said that the rocket launchers fired by the dacoits did not explode in the temple. There was no loss of life due to this. He called upon the police to protect the Hindu community. He said that the incident has created panic among the local residents.

Meanwhile, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) said it is concerned over reports of deteriorating law and order situation in Kashmore and Ghotki districts of Sindh, where around 30 members of the Hindu community, including women and children, have reportedly been taken hostage . These people were held hostage by organized criminal gangs. The Commission called upon the Sindh Home Department to investigate the matter without any delay.
